Barron Prize 2010

Sorry I have been away from my blog.  I have discovered that being a high school senior is an enormous amount of work.  Luckily the semester is winding down.

I was recently honored with the Barron Prize for Young Heroes.  This is an amazing award that was established by Mr. T. A. Barron.  Mr. Barron wants to encourage young people to find their inner hero and to go out and make a difference in the world.  I was very fortunate and was asked to accompany Mr. Barron on a media blitz in New York City.  Wow!  It was an incredible opportunity and honor to represent the Barron Foundation.  I believe that it is possible to be the change you wish to see in the world.  Thank you Mr. Barron for honoring me with your award.  I promise to continue to be the change.    For more information regarding the Barron Prize their web address is www.barronprize.org.

The picture I added is one of my favorite senior pics.  I had all of them taken at Girl Scout Camp Rio Blanco.  I couldn’t even imagine having my pictures taken any other place.
